I am of the opinion that the greatest danger confronting the Christian church and every individual Christian at this moment is to fail to understand and appreciate the absolute necessity of a precise, clear knowledge of the truth.

She likes me! She really likes me!

Imagine my surprise this morning when I found out that I had won an award from Carla! The last time I won an award was in my bowling league when I was a teenager!! And this is not just some cheesy award like for having the cutest daisy background on my blog or something equally mundane, but an award of great proportions; of immense magnitude; of gargantuan... bigness! Someone actually thinks when they come here. (Or maybe she just laughs. Either way, this is really, really cool!)

Ok, so my job is to name five bloggers who make me think. Part of the trick is to name those who haven't been tagged already, which is really difficult because the very person who named me is definitely one of the ones I would name! But then she'd have to play again, so maybe I'll say (in no particular order)...
Lisa @ Deo Volente: This is one special lady with a godly perspective and a sweet spirit who posts on a range of interesting topics.

David @ The Thirsty Theologian: He could post a little more often, and he seems to have some problem with my cat, but I really appreciate his perspectives and terrific sense of humor! :)

Diane @ Aim to Please Him: Relatively new on the bloggy scene, she's jumped in with both feet and is currently sharing her study in The Attributes of God by A. W. Pink. Definite thinking material.

Annette @ Fish and Cans: Annette regularly posts her Bible study, and I'm often blessed by her ponderings.

Denny @ Haven of Grace: Handsome, suave, debonair... ok, maybe just handsome. And he makes me think, too!

This list is by no means exhaustive, but many of the other bloggers who make me think have already been tagged -- some twice! Oh no, maybe someone I've tagged here has already been tagged... How do these things get so out of control?

Just by way of a special acknowledgment, there are also two regular commenters here at joythruChrist who so often have made me think. Hope and Baxter don't have blogs (yet?) but are dear friends who have shared with me in numerous ways and on numerous issues, and so I just thought they should be mentioned in this post as well!

But.... I really do like your daisy background. It's very perky & uplifting.

Oops, sorry; that was me.

Kim, LOL I was hoping it was you! I've almost made comments signed in as my husband. :) BTW, I would have named you too, but you'd already been tagged as well.

Wish I could take credit for the pretty background, but it's the work of Karol at Home Sweet Homepage Graphics. I'd love to be able to design stuff like these mouse-drawn graphics artists do...

Congrats on you award winning. You're on a roll now two prises in a lifetime, not bad. LOL

I'm a friend of Dinae's, which is how I got here. Nice blog and I must say I do like your choice of music. May God bless you as you grow in grace

I've been really stuggling a bit, Jen. And I thought I would check into your blog. I was really glad to hear your blog had propelled people into thought. And you had "won" a thought provoking "award". Selfishly, I wished I could be a part of it...and then...I saw my name and was blessed. Thank you for including me, it touched me to tears. Love, Bax

Bkeen:
Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you'll come back again!

Hope:
You gotta do it, girl. Gotta share the burn!

Bax, I'm so sorry you we're feeling down, but I'm glad you were blessed. You've blessed me for sure so many times!

Jen, thank you for tagging me, you and Connie made my day.

Oh, and it took me this long to thank you because I had an uncooperative mouse. It's been getting stuck all day. Thankfully, it seems to be working pretty well now.

Nothin' worse than a sticky mouse. And thank you for your posts on The Attributes of God!

Jen, thank you. :) Just what I needed to read on this cold snowy day. Thank you so much, I do feel honoured.

Is this snow ever gonna stop? It's at it again here in PA.

And you're welcome! :)
