To know that God knows everything about me and yet loves me is indeed my ultimate consolation.

On weariness

I am personally in a period of the year in which we are extremely busy. I mean so busy that I have about an hour to myself before work and about a half hour at night. On days like these I am weary and longing for more quiet time and
I like to remember certain scriptures.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Even youths shall faith and be weary, and young me shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:30

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So, I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. Psalm 63:1-3

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. Hebrews 12:3

If you're in a season of busyness and feeling worn out, take some time to meditate on these.

Blessings!

Firing up the old blog - a new start

Hello? Is blogging even still a thing? (I checked into it. Apparently it is.)

It's been about 11 years since I posted on this blog. Well, not THIS blog, but my former blog with the name 'joythruChrist'. I've renamed and placed that blog under lock and key. There were a lot of friends and memories made while I was a blogger from 2006-2009, and then life just got too hectic to continue. I will never forget those times or those friends I hope to see again one day in Heaven.

Life is still hectic, maybe more so. I won't be posting quite the same content nor as often as I used to but I will be making an effort to encourage anyone who chances by. I also won't be oversharing my life. Oversharing is not a healthy thing in this world. Besides, I'd much rather you come away from joythruChrist with Christ on your mind. God bless!
