To know that God knows everything about me and yet loves me is indeed my ultimate consolation.

On weariness

I am personally in a period of the year in which we are extremely busy. I mean so busy that I have about an hour to myself before work and about a half hour at night. On days like these I am weary and longing for more quiet time and
I like to remember certain scriptures.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Even youths shall faith and be weary, and young me shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:30

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So, I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. Psalm 63:1-3

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. Hebrews 12:3

If you're in a season of busyness and feeling worn out, take some time to meditate on these.

Blessings!

  1. Dear Jen,
I see you gave blogging another go (like me) and then stopped. I sure hope you are doing well. I miss the old blogging days. I ran across your comments on one of my posts and it brought me here so I thought I'd say hi.
